Michigan

We had a very nice trip back to Michigan. We made many new memories and shared wonderful old memories with the whole family as we remembered my grandpa. We made the most of our time in Jackson where we swam at the hotel pool, visited a nature preserve/pumpkin patch where we learned about raising Trout, farming and how good a warm cup of hot cider and fresh baked donuts taste after a cold hay ride! as well as spending good time with family honoring and remembering Grandpa Low. Then we moved onto Holland were we had a lot time to play, relax, hike, shop and play some more...I don't think I saw my kids for 2 days straight!! Goofy kids ready to get going!
Captain Adelee ready to fly us to Michigan!
Our Trip...
Look at all of those cousins!!!
Gordie never left Noah's side. (really NEVER!) Best Bud's for sure!
As long as Abby and Sophie were around, this smile NEVER left Adelee's face!
It was a beautiful weekend filled with endless love! Although Grandpa wasn't there, his spirit was with us!

FALL IS HERE

We are having a lot of fun this fall! We visited a pumpkin patch, played and had fun at soccer games every Saturday and went trick or treating with our best buddies!
Same photo 1 year later! Precious kiddos!!

Awesome!

Gordie Chessa and I found the most peaceful and beautiful place to watch the shuttle fly over us. It was sooooo cool! I loved spending that special moment with my awesome Gordie!
We passed by these flags (and lots of people) at Pepperdine.
No Shuttle just our view when waiting. Us and the surfers.

Family

We have been having a nice week spending time with family!

Chuck's cousin Patrick was out visiting UCLA. We got to spend some good time playing around! Of course Chessa just loved him, and vise versa :-) Gordie and Patrick played with his bike, played hide and seek, and had lots of fun together. Gordie even tested Patrick's reflexes as he jumped off the back of the sofa yelling "catch me!" Patrick passed then test! Oh and guess who is almost ONE?! WE also spend a nice morning with the Lappenga's and Bill and Joan Bonnema. Chessa hung out with Bill and Annemeika. And Amelia and Gordie were adorable of course!

This is the post from our last trip to Tucson. Although we saw Grandpa, or Great Gordon as the kids like to call him, since then, this visit was so wonderful!! Gordie climbed on him constantly and we all treasured every moment!

Grandpa will be missed so much! But I thank God for all of the beautiful memories. And now I will have to find a new "scieneer" to help guide me in answering all of Gordie's "how does this work" questions.

Peace.

Go Gordie!!!

Gordie's first day of preschool is today. And man is he ready! He is such a good boy, who loves to play and make new friends...so I'd say he should have a pretty good time at preschool! When we dropped him off today we had to chase him down to give him a hug and kiss goodbye. Although I miss him already, it is kind of nice to have "The View" on the TV in the background as I get things done around the house (Chessa is napping). :-) Gotta love this kid!!

YEAH! SHE DID IT!!! She always knew she would grow up to be a big girl doing to Kindergarden!!! My sweet baby girl...ok, she's not really a baby anymore. My BIG GIRL had her first day of Kindergarden today! It was a half day, and she did great! For those of you who don't know, she is attending a Dual Language School that will give her an excellent education and teach her Spanish. This year her schooling will be 90% in Spanish. WOW! Today I asked what she learning and she said "Como Esta." I asked if she knew what it means and she replied "'Como' means How and 'esta' means are you." I'd say that is pretty good! She says her teacher is a "funny guy," and the kids in her class are nice. Gordie, Chessa and I are going to miss her tomorrow when she is at school from 8:30-3:00. I really wish it was half day kindergarden, just thinking about the length of the day is breaking my heart! I am used to spending 12 hours a day with her...now I'm going to get just about 5 hours a day with her...ugh! That is a big change for this mommy!
