An adorable video

We had a blast camping...here is a video of the kids. I wish I could put it in slow motion (I'll work on that) Gordie's face is priceless!! And yes, Adelee does say, "we're going crazy!"

PUMPKINS!

Laura being the center of a really cute sandwich!

First wheelbarrow ride from daddy

We had a wonderful day at the farm (last weekend) with our friends Laura, Ben and baby Amelia. We got lost in a corn maze (never did find the center...but at least we found our way out! We shopped at the farmers market, rode ponies, climbed a hay stack, hung out with chickens, sat on a tractor, and picked out pumpkins! The pumpkin picking was alittle bit different than last year in Michigan (shorts not snowsuits!) We are very happy to have the Lappenga's with us here in Los Angeles!

ps- we had a wonderful Halloween Party on Sunday. I'll post photos soon. I'm too lazy to go hook the camera up right now, I want to go to sleep :)

CAMPING!!!

We had a wonderful weekend in the mountains camping with Nel and Jen. It was Adelee and Gordie's first camping trip...and it was Nel's first time too!

The kids had a GREAT time playing in the dirt, climbing on fallen trees and big rocks, going in and out of the tents, and just being outside in the fresh air. Adelee was blown away at the stars and Gordie was so cute pointing up at the sky. We were all AMAZED at the star filled sky (I forgot what a night sky really looks like!)

On the way home, we stopped at a part of southern California that is all Apple and Cherry Orchards. We were sad the find out that the crop was bad this year because of a late frost...but the area was beautiful and the kids did get to play with some chickens and a pig. It is a place we will be back to next year in hopes of picking some apples!!!

Smores done with no campfire...too dry :(

Gordie's 15 month stats

Well, Chuck brought Gordie to his 15 month check-up and reports are that he is doing great!

Turns out he had a HUGE growth spurt! Which I could have predicted as not only do his pants all look a bit too short for him, but he has been eating like crazy!!! I can't imagine what he will eat like when going through a growth spurt in his teenage years!

The stats:
Weight: 24 pounds 10 oz (50%)
Height: 33 1/4 inchis (75%) he was 25% at 12 months!
Head: 19 1/2 (90%) yep, he has a big head :)

The kids are having so much fun together and love each other so much!!!

GO State!

We had to listen to the game on the radio/computer but it was worth it! Adelee knew just what to say! And Gordie...just being a boy...climbing on everything...oh and yes in tap shoes.

Gordie got a haircut!

A real haircut!!! (he wouldn't sit still to get a good picture...but this close up gives you a better idea.) SO CUTE!

A little fun

Well, we are trying hard to stay cool out here! The temps have been well over 100 degrees for several days now. We are also trying to stay in out of the smoke from fires.

But we are still having fun! Adelee was amazing climbing a rope/ladder/tunnel up to a platform and down a huge curly slide into a fun ball pit (she did it over and over and over again, then her friend showed up and she did it over and over and over again). Good news is I only had to do it with her 2 times! Good to know that she doesn't have the fear of heights that her mom has :)

Gordie spent most of his time throwing all the balls back into the ball bit and then throwing them back out. He had a blast in the pit! He loved the jumper and pretty much everything else that was out of the heat.

(Adelee loved the jumper too!)

Gordie gets his stitches out tomorrow! So then maybe we can go swimming again! Thank goodness!

We also went to a movie...a 3D movie! "Meatballs Movie" Adelee loved it! Chuck loved it! And I loved my sweet baby boy sleeping on my chest for an hour and a half (despite snoring noises that could compete with his daddy).

Oh yea, way back a couple of weeks ago, it was a bit cooler outside so we went swing dancing at the Galleria (the Galleria).

Here are a few photos for you...
